    Day 1 : Mumbai – Arrival


    Mumbai Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train

    As you arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus our representative of Travelsite India, would help you with the registration processes and check in formalities at the Maharashtra Splendor journey. As you enter enjoy a welcome drink and a royally treated entry. Get comfortable, as the Deccan Odyssey starts from Mumbai to Nashik. Dine and stay for the night.

    Day 2 : Nashik


    Godavari Ghats Deccan Odyssey

    Your luxury abode reaches the city of Nashik in the morning. As you have your breakfast, get down the luxury train and take a walk along the Godavari Ghats. You are going to observe the rich Hindu rituals performed at the Ghat. Thereafter, take a stroll to the markets of Nashik to watch and buy everything that is available in the market. We would now take you to the Grover Zampa Vineyards which is one of the finest vineyards of India and have a look at the vines of Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes. Explore the traditional methods of preparing the aromatic wine in India. Savor your taste buds as you get to taste the best of red, white, rose and sparkling wines and top it with delicious food. Return back to Deccan Odyssey and dine and stay there.

    Day 3: Aurangabad – Ellora Caves

    Disembark the luxury ride as you have your scrumptious breakfast, and drive towards Ellora caves. Aurangabad, a town which derives its name from Aurangzeb a Mughal emperor is a complete Mughal town, known for the archeological wonder of Ellora Caves. The caves having 34 rock-cut shrines, stands for the cultural diversity of India as it is the amalgamation of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain art dating back to 4th and 5th century AD. This cave has 34 temples which can be divided as 12 Buddhist caves, 17 Hindu caves and 5 Jain caves. The most important shrine includes the Kailash Temple, which is said to be the true copy of Lord Shiva’s heavenly abode. Return to the luxury train as you have your lunch. Now the Deccan Odyssey would leave for Jalgaon, famous for Ajanta caves.

    Day 4: Ajanta caves

    Enjoy the tasty breakfast onboard and disembark the luxury train as you arrive at Jalgaon station. Later, drive to Ajanta Caves which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witness the 30 rock-cut Buddhist Caves cut out from rocks, dedicated to Buddhist religious art form. These sculptures and paintings in the caves are picture arts and are home to some of the most unique sculptures of Buddha. The rest of the day is to be spent resting in the train as you enjoy movies and a massage at the spa section o the train. Dine and stay at the train as the Deccan Odyssey embarks upon forward journey.

    Day 5: Kolhapur


    Kolhapur Place Deccan Odyssey

    The next stop of the luxury train, Deccan Odyssey would be the city of Kolhapur. As you have breakfast on the royal carriage, get down the train and begin your city excursion to Kolhapur. Our halt in the city would be New Palace Museum; a Palace which is octagonal in shape is as old as 19th century. Visit the Town Hall Museum which has one of a kind architecture popularly known as neo-Gothic. Go for shopping at the Kolhapur local market area and buy Kolhapuri Chappals there. Witness here, the dance forms called Lavanya Sandhya and seek blessings at Mahalakshmi Temples, which is one of the Shakti Peeths. Now we would take you to witness the local martial arts form called Mardani Khel. Return to the royal train and proceed to your journey.

    Day 6 : Goa


    Goa Deccan Odyssey

    We would today halt at state of Goa. Disembark the Deccan odyssey Train and drive to Fontainhas, the Latin Quarters in Panjim and begin the sightseeing tour of Goa. Witness the Portuguese culture in this part of India which is home to various UNESCO World Heritage sites. We would then take you to the earlier capital of Goa, Ribander and visit the pristine ruins of St. Augustine tower. Relish the traditional cuisine of Goa as you drive to Shakari Spice Plantations. After lunch at the spice plantation which would include, feni, shrimps, kingfish and mackerel we would go for a Goan folk Performance. Visit the Old Portuguese house and have a look at the beauty of Goan traditional way of living. Return to Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train and enjoy dinner. Stay at the train as it proceeds forward.

    Day 7: Sindhudurg


    Sindhudurg Deccan Odyssey

    As the train enters Sindhudurg, an Island perched at the Malvan Coast, have your breakfast on the train. Later, disembark for an excursion to the city of Sindhudurg. Explore this holy city today and return to the train for lunch. Then again venture into the city to cover the remnant part of sightseeing excursion. Relax and enjoy the train journey as it makes its way back to Mumbai.

    Day 8: Mumbai – Departure

    Today is the last day of your tour with the royal carriage of Deccan Odyssey Train. Board a flight to your home country as your services with Travelsite India ends here.
